Chongqing, a beautiful city of mountains and waters, welcomes tourists around the world. The 7th Western China Tourism Industry Expo and 2021 Chongqing International Cultural & Tourism Industry Expo (The 7th WCTIE and 2021 CICTIE) is held at the Chongqing International Expo Center from June 11 – 13. Nine Consulate Generals in Chongqing and representative offices of organizations, nearly 1,000 cultural tourism exhibitors from 30 provinces, cities, and regions, and Chongqing’s districts and counties have participated in the event, presenting the charismatic romantic essence of tourism.
The event is sponsored by Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, organized by Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development. Themed on “integrating the culture and tourism, expecting a wonderful life”, this exhibition, which covers an area of 66,000 square meters, has set eight exhibition areas, including “High-quality Tourism in China” and “Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor”. It has attracted nine Consulate Generals in Chongqing and representative offices of organizations from Japan, Italy, Hungary, Uruguay, Ethiopia, and other countries, as well as nearly 1,000 cultural tourism authorities and companies from 30 provinces, cities, and regions (including Guizhou, Yunnan, Ningxia, and Jilin) to gather together.
Notably, the event also adopts a combination of online and offline exhibitions, creating a 24-hour online, 365-day never-ending exhibition. With the cloud display, live streaming, and online interaction, it supports the online commodity sales, event registration, exhibition publicity, and other functions, thus giving full play to the advantages of the online exhibition, enhancing the publicity effect, promoting the on-site consumption, and enriching the exhibitors’ experience.
Together with the Chongqing Cultural and Tourism Consumption Promotional Season, the expo offered free or discounted tickets, free hot-spring tickets, room and buffet vouchers of 5-star hotels, dining vouchers of restaurants, and featured tourism products at the 4A and 5A tourist attractions inside and outside the city, carry out a diversity of online and offline welfare activities such as excellent products for ￥1, order discounts, free orders, and lucky draws, bringing many benefits to the residents.
