The first batch of exported second-hand vehicles in the cross-board highway regular lorries will travel from Khorgas Port to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan via Kazakhstan along the new route to Kyrgyzstan.

Since Chongqing put cross-border highway lorries into service in 2016, six and two routes opened to countries the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN ) and Central Asia, respectively.

The routes have covered all the ASEAN countries on the Indo-China Peninsula and connected the international markets in Central Asia and Europe. The accumulative departures of lorries have exceeded 6,500.

The new route to Kyrgyzstan is the third one to Central Asia, following the first two to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

It takes lorries 12 days to arrive at the terminus along the land transportation route of about 5,400 kilometers, which will further expand the coverage of logistics and freight, and boost the construction of an inland opening-up leader in Chongqing.

According to an official from Banan District, the district will leverage the advantages of the open platforms and channels such as Chongqing Nanpeng Highway Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) and cross-border highway regular lorries.

The district plans to integrate the second-hand vehicle resources of the whole district and even the entire city, actively enhance the reconditioning, maintenance, testing, and other supporting services, build the second-hand vehicle export base and facilitate the further development and expansion of the automobile industry cluster.
