The "Exhibition on the History of the Communist Party of China" currently held in Beijing is a panoramic view of how the Communist Party of China led the Chinese people in creating brilliant achievements over the past 100 years. It displays the important historical events in the centenary as well as the Party's glorious tradition to help strengthen our beliefs. There are also "Chongqing Elements" in the exhibition.

"Chongqing Elements" in the exhibition hall under the theme "staying true to the Party's original aspiration and the founding mission" include the script Mao Zedong's Talk from the Chongqing Negotiations period (first-class cultural relic), Mao Zedong’s manuscript of Snow — To the tune of Chin Yuan Chun, Ye Ting's manuscript of A Prisoner's Poem created in the cell in Chongqing in 1942, etc.

The precious exhibits from Chongqing show how it has carried on the glorious tradition of the Communist Party of China and, based on that, exuded a great, unremitting spiritual power.

Also in the showcase are the water pan and copper spoon that Mao Zedong used back then. Mao Zedong's Talk script from the same period was also shown in the exhibition as a first-class cultural relic.

A Prisoner's Poem in Chongqing - A display of the Communists' devotion

The precious manuscript in the exhibition hall shows the highest loyalty of a communist to the Party. It is a poem written by Ye Ting, a communist and one of the founders of the Chinese People's Liberation Army when he was imprisoned in a cell in Chongqing in 1942.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it has been included as a primary school text for education in patriotism. The lofty integrity and great patriotism revealed in the poem have educated generations of teenagers in China and motivated numerous successors to the revolution.

The printing press for Xinhua Daily in Chongqing - An invisible war of publicity

There is a printing press in the exhibition hall, which seems ordinary, with some parts severely worn. It is labeled with "The printing press for Xinhua Daily."

There is also one of such in Chongqing. It is the "most valuable treasure" of the Chongqing Hongyan Revolution History Museum. It is a testimony in kind to how the Communist Party of China organized and led people in the wars.

The Xinhua Daily was the invisible fighter during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation.

Important articles by CPC leaders such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Zhu De were published on Xinhua Daily printed with this press in Chongqing. It covered the heroic resistance of the Eighth Route Army and the New Fourth Army, the frontline military and civilian achievements, and opinions of patriotic democratic personages from all fields, including those in the Kuomintang. Xinhua Daily blew the trumpets for all to engage in the protracted war.

In December 2020, the National Cultural Heritage Administration approved the Chongqing Hongyan Revolution History Museum's request to duplicate two such printing presses, one as an exhibit in the Chongqing Negotiation Memorial Hall under planning for the construction of the other to be displayed in Xinhua Daily Press. The printing press made great contributions to the Party in its journalistic enterprise and fulfilled its historical mission honorably. An important cultural relic and testimony in kind to how the Communist Party of China organized and led people in the wars will be remembered and admired forever.

Migrants in Chongqing - contribution to the building of the Three Gorges Dam

The trophy and certificate "People of the Year in 2002 with Special Contribution to China" dedicated to the millions of migrants from the Three Gorges area are also seen in the exhibition.

Many more precious exhibits are placed in the showcase: the pair of vases presented to Wanzhou Development Zone for Migration in Chongqing by Xi Jinping, then deputy secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, on behalf of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and the Provincial Government in November 1999, and the holograph to Wanzhou from Xi Jinping, then secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee in March 2007. The exhibits put the epic spirit of migrants from the Three Gorges area on full display.
