An awards ceremony for the outstanding members of the Communist Party of China (CPC), exemplary Party workers, and advanced community-level Party organizations was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on June 28. The members of the CPC and organizations from all over the country accepted their honors at the ceremony.

Among them, 14 persons and ten organizations come from Chongqing.

"I'm a Party member from the countryside, and I feel very proud and honored to receive the award here!" said Mao Xianglin, Party Branch Secretary of Xiazhuang Village, Zhuxian Township, Wushan County, Chongqing. Walking out of the Great Hall of the People, Mao could not contain his excitement.

At a grand gathering held this year at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to mark the country's accomplishments in poverty alleviation and honor its model poverty fighters, Mao Xianglin, who had led villagers in Xiazhuang Village to build a rugged mountain road with their hands, won the honorary title of a "model poverty fighter."

Yang Langlang, Party Committee Secretary and Principal of Chongqing Renmin Primary School were as excited as Mao Xianglin.

She said that before leaving for Beijing, she communicated with the school's leadership members and teachers (Party members). All of them are grateful for the care and love of the Party for the school. Yang added, "As a primary-level educator, I feel very proud of myself for winning such a great honor!"

Make persistent efforts

Everyone believes that the key to better and more effective work lies in the next-step efforts.

"As the Party branch won such an honor, sci-tech workers were greatly encouraged," said Pu Lin, Party Branch Secretary, and Deputy Director at the Analogue Integrated Circuit Design Division, China Electronics Technology Group Chongqing Sound and Light Technology Group Co., Ltd.

Regarding this honor as a new starting point, Pu will integrate the CPC building into the core tasks and lead high-quality development with high-quality Party building. He will guide other Party members to take the lead in all tasks, introduce an open competition mechanism to select the best candidates to lead key technology projects, and strive to achieve greater breakthroughs in sci-tech innovation.

Zhang Qinggang serves as Party Committee Member and Vice President of Chongqing Broadcasting Group and General Party Branch Secretary and Director of the group's convergence media center. He has been thinking about how better to enhance the leadership of the general Party branch.

He said that the general Party branch had achieved some results in this aspect by setting up demonstration posts for Party members, innovating incentive and evaluation mechanisms, etc. In the future, led by the CPC, he will continue innovating methods for cultivating a new team that has the courage to innovate and shoulder responsibilities and missions for the new media era.
