Chongqing — Chongqing’s new top 10 landmarks were officially released at a press conference held by the Chongqing Municipal Committee of Commerce on July 6th.
Chongqing has risen as a popular tourist destination in China and the world over these years. Its popular scenic spots and landmarks have left people with an indelible impression. The new top ten landmarks included Chongqing’s most representative constructures such as Chongqing Raffles, The Ring Shopping Park, the 9th Street, Dongyuan 1891, etc.
Peng Heliang, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, said that this year, Chongqing will focus on cultivating and developing a new consumption model to release consumption potential and promote consumption growth. Since the event’s launch, 124 candidates have been on the list and have attracted 9.69 million votes. Besides the top 10 new landmarks, top 10 new scenes and top 10 new brands have been selected.
As the consumer market showed a continued positive development trend, it’s estimated that the city’s total retail sales of consumer goods will increase by more than 32% year on year from January to June.
In this top 30 list, there are not only famous neighborhoods and brands that have long been famous all over the world, which have been upgraded and further radiated new brilliance, but also “new faces” that have been newly cultivated in the past two years.
Among the top 10 new landmarks are Chongqing’s iconic buildings, Chongqing Raffles City, which has unique characteristics of across the sky, and Rongchuang Culture and Tourism City, which has a unique global complex format that integrates the world’s top cultural, tourism, commerce, and living concepts, and the first domestic city–The Ring Shopping Park, the most popular night market in Chongqing–the 9th Street, Chongqing Milan Town, Suning Plaza–“Asian Light,” as well as Chongqing historical and cultural heritage with strong local characteristics such as Shangcheng Alley traditional block, Huangjueya Old Street, Nanchuan East Street, and Bigui Garden Yunyang Square.
Among the top 10 new scenes are Chongqing Raffles Discovery Capsule·Observation Deck, The Oval—Children’s Dream, Xiangyu·Liziba, etc. The top 10 new brands include Chongqing Rongchuangmao Indoor Ski Resort Snow Club, Freshippo, Tianfu Cola, etc.
This event brings a cool, romantic, fashionable, and cool summer feast to the citizens. And the 2021 Chongqing-Sichuan Consumer Summer event will also come as scheduled. Yu Xiaoling, director of the consumer promotion division of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, introduced that the upcoming event will focus on the nightlife summer vacation and use the 2021 Never-Night Chongqing Festival as an important carrier to link various industries, districts and counties, and organizing hundreds of consumer promotion events.
