Chongqing - A number of red cultural relic-protected venues, such as Chongqing History Exhibition Hall, Chongqing Revolutionary Military Museum, the Chongqing Negotiation Memorial Hall, and the Chongqing Red Army Long March Memorial Hall, will be built in Chongqing in the next 5 years. Jiang Weining, an official of the Chongqing Culture and Tourism Development Commission, revealed the plan at a local press conference on the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics on the 27th of July.

There are 417 immovable revolutionary cultural relics in Chongqing, including 46 national key cultural relics protection units and 95 municipal cultural relics protection units. It basically covers all historical stages since the old democratic revolution, especially Hongyan The "Hongyan Spirit" carried by the revolutionary cultural relics.

Jiang said that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Chongqing would also renovate and expand the Hongyan Revolution Memorial Hall, the Chinese Democratic Party Historical Exhibition Hall, the Sichuan-Shaanxi Memorial Hall in Chengkou, and implement the protection on Chongqing Geleshan Revolutionary Memorial Hall and the Zhao Shiyan Martyrs Memorial Hall. Meanwhile, 9 major themes and 21 high-quality red tourist routes will be promoted to be a batch of first-class red tourist attractions in the country.

At present, Chongqing has implemented 43 projects, including cultural relics protection and repairment, themed memorial hall construction, cultural tourism development, infrastructure facilities, cultural relic environment improvement, and memorial digital upgrading. A batch of Long March cultural relics have been effectively protected, and the display system has been accelerated.
In order to promote the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle, Chongqing has also integrated the travel resources between Sichuan and Chongqing, led the formation of the Chongqing Revolutionary Site Memorial Hall Development Alliance, and cooperated with Sichuan and Shaanxi to build the Red Army Culture Park.
