Chongqing- Imagine just scanning a motorcycle with a tablet device, and you can get all the information about its parts, such as the engine and braking system.  This isn't science fiction; it's big data industrialization.

China Academy of Industrial Internet Chongqing (CAIIC), with the segmentation of industries as the starting point, achieves “visualization” of production through the Industrial Internet platform.

“Through the application of Industrial Internet technology, this type of visualized analysis can not only check the working state of motorcycle parts but also simulate different road conditions to test the performance of the body,” said Guo Gang, senior engineer of CAIIC.

First national Industrial Internet big data regional platform

Another visual application scene shown at CAIIC is a smart factory driven by big data. To determine whether a product is qualified, the only thing that needs to do is to enter related data into the application system, and the production status will be shown.

Compared with the previous manual entry of information, it improves efficiency greatly.

“All these visual application scenes are supported by big data,” said Guo. As the first sub-center of the national Industrial Internet Big Data Center, CAIIC serves as the first national Industrial Internet big data regional platform which integrates Industrial Internet data aggregation, mining, exchange, and sharing.

Industrial big data public service platform 

Since this year, CAIIC has gradually built an industrial big data public service platform in Chongqing, with sub-platforms that concentrate on the stability of industry chain and supply chain in automobile, motorcycle, and electronic manufacturing.

At the same time, CAIIC has developed the Chongqing industrial big data hierarchical classification system, starting with automobile, motorcycle, and electronic manufacturing, to develop an industrial data classification.

Among them, the auto and motorcycle parts Industrial Internet public service platform tailored for the auto and motorcycle industry can collect, clean, process, and analyze related data in the manufacturing and operation process of vehicle enterprises, such as industrial software data, production data, equipment operation interconnection data and other types of operational data, as well as local, regional industry data.

Powered by this platform, the industry chain of auto and motorcycle parts industry can be predicted, assessed, monitored, forewarned, which subsequently energizes their digital application.

According to the CAIIC, its big data sub-center has completed server room construction and basic software deployment.

Furthermore, the public service platform for electronic manufacturing and automobile and motorcycle is also being gradually improved, all of which will be released at this year's Smart China Expo to help more enterprises achieve digital transformation.
