Chongqing- The Smart China Expo 2021 (SCE 2021) will adhere to the principle of online and offline integration, using the latest digital technology to present the opening ceremony, main forum and sub-forums with a sense of science and technology, and high-quality scene-based exhibitions, said Chen Jinshan, deputy mayor of Chongqing Municipal People's Government and director of Chongqing Municipal Economy and Information Technology.

Centered on Industrial Internet

According to Chen, the SCE 2021 will highlight the theme of the Industrial Internet integrating the conference, exhibition, competition, and forum. A number of experts and scholars will deliver keynote speeches on Industrial Internet at the Industrial Internet Integration Development Forum, Industrial Internet and Smart Manufacturing Forum.

The conference also includes a special setting of 20,000 square meters of Industrial Internet exhibition area. The Industrial Internet exhibition area takes real application scenarios and platform real-time systems as the main content to create a comprehensive, full-scene, and full-link display experience.

The Chongqing Pavilion will present technical scenarios such as digital twin factories and flexible production lines focusing on the Industrial Internet. The "Blooming Cup" 5G application solicitation contest will also be held at the same time.

China (Chongqing)-Singapore Cooperation

The China-Singapore (Chongqing) International Data Channel opened between Chongqing and Singapore guarantees high-quality communication and exchanges between the two places, said Peng Zhiming, Deputy Director of the Chongqing Sino-Singapore Demonstration Project Management Bureau.

According to Peng, relying on digital technology, the China-Singapore (Chongqing) International Data Channel has provided technical support for a series of major events such as meetings with senior leaders of China and Singapore, meetings of the Joint Implementation Committee of China-Singapore Connectivity Projects.

"The clarity and fluency of the video conference held through the data channel is a qualitative leap, which gives people an 'immersive experience," said Peng.

During the SCE 2021, the China-Singapore (Chongqing) International Data Channel will play a huge role. At present, 51 companies and institutions in Singapore have signed up to participate in the online exhibition of the SCE 2021.

Additionally, China and Singapore will use the channel to connect and hold forums and a series of activities and events between Chongqing and Singaporean enterprises.

Under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, Chongqing has also established a three-level normalized video communication mechanism to deepen communication and cooperation between China and Singapore. 

Peng said, this year, Chongqing will also co-organize the Chongqing Tour of Singapore’s Well-known Companies in China with Singapore, and invite Singapore’s embassies and consulates in China and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of Singapore's well-known enterprises that have settled in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and other places, to communicate with relevant districts, counties, parks, and enterprises in Chongqing.

"This is to promote economic and trade exchanges further and strive to promote the implementation of a number of cooperation projects," said Peng.
