Chongqing- 2021 China—SCO Forum on the Digital Economy Industry will be held from August 23 to 25, according to the press conference held by the Information Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government on August 17.

Promoting the digital economy for common prosperity

The forum consists of the opening ceremony and main forum, a signing ceremony of cooperation projects, thematic exhibitions, and five sub-forums, namely 2021 4th Globalized Digital Economy 100 Forum, Electronic Commerce Forum, Smart Tourism Forum, Smart Logistics, and Digital Channel Development Forum, Liangjiang New Area & SCO Countries - Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform Development Forum.

With the theme "Promoting the Digital Economy for Common Prosperity," the forum will give full play to Chongqing's advantages in intelligent manufacturing and digital economy industry development, gather more global innovation resources for Chongqing, accelerate the construction of "powerhouse of smart manufacturing" and "famous smart city."

Through this forum, Chongqing and SCO will jointly build a platform for industrial development and cooperation in the digital economy, promote international exchanges and cooperation, and achieve mutual benefits.

Participation of all 18 SCO countries

So far, guests from all 18 SCO countries (including China) and officials from the SCO Secretariat, the SCO Business Council, and the SCO Youth Committee will attend the forum online and offline. For this purpose, the organizers have set up a special China-SCO Digital Economy Cooperation Exhibition Hall, covering an area of about 10,000 square meters.

In terms of display methods, the exhibition fully utilizes information technologies such as 5G, virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, and 3D simulation, combined with promotional videos and physical displays, to present the national profiles, digital technologies, scientific and technological achievements, financial industries and humanistic features of each country.
