I. Personnel Exchanges

In recent years, Tajikistan's government representatives, ambassadors to China, media and think tanks, and people from other sectors of society have visited Chongqing. They attended activities like the 2019 SCO Heads of Region Meeting.

In February 2018, Parviz Davlatzoda, then Tajik Ambassador to China, visited Chongqing as a member of the Delegation of Envoys of SCO Member States to China. In December 2019, he attended the Third Conference of the CICA Non-Governmental Forum in the city.

II. Economic and Trade Engagement

In 2020, the total imports and exports between Chongqing and Tajikistan reached 2.341 million yuan. From January to May 2021, Chongqing-Tajikistan foreign trade volume amounted to 2.862 million yuan, up 100.1% yearly. Exports accounted for 100% of the trade.

III. Anti-pandemic Cooperation

At the early stage of the pandemic, the Embassy of Tajikistan in China sent a letter and gave a call to Chongqing Municipal People's Government to express its concern. Since the spread of the pandemic in the world, Chongqing donated a batch of anti-pandemic materials to Tajikistan.
