Chongqing - In August 2021, iChongqing has conducted exclusive interviews with embassy officials related to the upcoming China - SCO Forum on the Digital Economy Industry and 2021 Smart China Expo. This is an exclusive interview with Dmitry Yemelyanau, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Chongqing.
According to Mr. Yemelyanau, Belarus will have a National Pavilion built in the exhibition hall of SCO countries, and he believes this Smart Expo will also help deepen some technical cooperation between the Belarus and Chongqing IT industry and digital economy.
Besides, he introduced that since 2020, Chang'an Automobile, as the Chongqing automobile manufacturing industry benchmark, has been cooperating with Belarus and is a partner of Belarus. Then, in the near future, Chang'an company will cooperate with Belarus’ partner, a company named Unison, to assemble cars and supply them to the Eurasian Economic Union market.
In part of the cultural exchange, in March 2019, Chongqing hosted the Day of Minsk Culture and Tourism, a sister city from Belarus. Then a series of activities were held, including the opening of the Chongqing Belarus Research Center, which was inscribed by the Belarusian writer Yakubu Klass, and a ballet performance in Chongqing. These activities have shown the culture of Belarus.
