Chongqing- Li Shufu, Chairman of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, delivered a speech at the main forum of Smart China Expo (SCE) 2021 in Chongqing on August 23. 

Li said that comprehensive digital transformation has become inevitable for economic development in the new era. 

He introduced that Geely is accelerating digital transformation, building a complete digital transformation framework for the industrial internet and forming systematic solutions to cope with the digitization of different scenarios to achieve replicable empowerment of traditional industries and facilitate transformation and upgrading in the upstream and downstream industrial chains.

"Digital management, digital production, networked sharing, personalized customization, and remote services not only mean an iteration of technology for enterprises but also a model innovation," said Li.

He added that the industrial internet explored by Geely is essentially a virtuous cycle that originated from manufacturing and supported manufacturing in return.

In October 2020, the global headquarters of Geely's industrial internet platform was launched in Chongqing.

With a long history of industrial development, Chongqing is fertile ground with great development potential. It boasts many advanced manufacturing enterprises and policies and basic capabilities that support the rapid development of the industrial internet and the digital economy.

This year, Geely's industrial internet platform will be officially launched at the SCE 2021. It is the first industrial internet platform launched in the auto industry to provide digital transformation services for the whole industry. The first batch of solutions on the platform will be unveiled soon.

In the future, Geely's industrial internet platform will advance the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy with more new products and technologies to contribute to the construction of Chongqing as a "strategic center of smart manufacturing" and a "famous smart city."

In the concluding remarks, Li said that digitization would give rise to an earth-shaking change; however, no matter how the world changes, for the digital economy, sci-tech self-improvement is always the defining feature, data security is always the bottom line, and benefiting consumers is always the goal.

Li insists it is a must to break through the bottleneck of core technologies and make them independent and controllable, strive for healthy and safe development of the digital economy, and share and co-build a digital ecology with a more open and inclusive attitude to bring consumers better life experience.
