On August 23, Nan'an District, Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone (CETZ) held a concentrated signing ceremony at the main venue of the Smart China Expo (SCE) 2021. The signed projects covered energy technology, intelligent transportation, digital economy, smart buildings, and other fields, with a total contract amount of 21.3 billion yuan (about 3.3 billion U.S. dollars).

China Energy Engineering Group locates its southwestern (Chongqing) headquarters in CETZ, with a project investment amount of 5 billion yuan (about 700 million U.S. dollars). The Group will carry out in-depth and comprehensive cooperation with Nan'an District and CETZ in energy planning, urban construction, scientific research and industry, investment, and financing. It is estimated that the annual investment contract amount of the Group will exceed 20 billion yuan (about 1.8 billion U.S. dollars), and the accumulative comprehensive investment amount will reach 100 billion yuan (about 15.49 billion U.S. dollars) in the next five years. 

In terms of smart transportation, Hello Inc. located its western headquarters in Chongqing, with a project investment of 6.8 billion yuan (about 1.05 billion U.S. dollars). Subsequently, the company will increase investment in the city in many business segments, such as new energy battery swapping, two-wheel travel, manufacturing, research and development, four-wheel travel, local life services, modern intercity logistics, intelligent management of non-motor vehicles, as well as intelligent patrol management of comprehensive administration and joint logistics.

In addition, CAICT Digital Industry · Chongqing Industrial Park will rely on the about-20,000-square-meter office space of the national cultural relic protection equipment industrial base as the carrier of investment promotion, adhere to the principle of industrial agglomeration, long-term effect, and innovation, give full play to the professional and resource advantages of the West China Branch of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), focus on such hot industries as the production, publicity, distribution and operation of digital content enterprises in audio-visual platforms, e-sports, games, live streaming, MCN, Internet-based promotion, film, television and media, and drive the cluster of the upstream and downstream industry chain, to build a digital content industrial park with international influence.

Zhujianyun.com plans to invest a total of 1.5 billion yuan (about 230 million U.S. dollars) in the project of its national headquarters base, which will take a national industrial base and a platform enabled by big data and artificial intelligence technologies as the carrier and gather industry-leading enterprises to make every effort to build the "two bases, two centers, and two demonstration sites." Respectively, they refer to the industrial development and innovative application base for building technologies, and the vocational skill competition base for the building industry; the intelligent talent training center for the building industry and the big data center for the building industry; the national application demonstration sites of the two national major science and technology projects during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, namely global location framework and coding system as well as green building and building industrialization.
