Chongqing–On November 25, 2021, the delegation of consulate officers in Chongqing paid a visit to Western China (Chongqing) Science City. Nineteen members of the delegation from ten countries participated in this trip.

Terminus AI PARK, located in the Western (Chongqing) Science City, is a pioneering area for building a model of artificial intelligence city and a center embedded with hi-tech experience, exhibitions, and tests for the future city. When the delegation arrived at TERMINUS AI PARK, a carefully planned magical robot show was waiting for them. A succession of AI shows has brought the consulate officers to a smart city in the future. The technology development was collaborated by Terminus AI Park and renowned universities research centers such as Tsinghua and Tongji University. In this park, the delegation also witnessed the different Livestream sales for the e-commerce platforms and how robots help people to order and deliver food as a full application of an automatic restaurant. This park is also reported by CCTV (Chinese National Television) during the 2020 Dubai Expo for its robot application. Later, the foreign consulates came to the Western (Chongqing) Science City Planning Exhibition Hall, listening, watching, and asking questions to explore more about the scientific development background, target positioning, urban planning, and work priorities of the Western (Chongqing) Science City.

”Chongqing wants to be a leader in many different sectors,” Joselito Sia, Acting Canadian Consul-General in Chongqing, told iChongqing reporter he saw ambition of Chongqing and opportunities for future cooperation through this trip.

Yos Sokhemrak, Cambodian Consul-General in Chongqing, noted AI is very important for nowadays lifestyle. Chongqing is an innovative city,  Cambodian side wants to learn more from this model.

In addition, Chongqing government officials had an in-depth exchange of views on the potential cooperation and much-anticipated development in the future with consulate officers. A promotion seminar was held to introduce the strategic opportunities, leading industries, and favorable Western (Chongqing) Science City policies to the delegation and foreign media personnel. In this seminar, Chongqing as a scientist and entrepreneur-friendly city, expressed its welcome to global players.

It is also a journey of cultural exchange. During this trip, the delegation went deep into the Chongqing High-tech Zone and the Hetai Equestrian Club to enjoy the equestrian performance and DIY souvenirs.
