Suggestion and wisdom

Academicians and experts gave suggestions and contributed wisdom at the summit. Man-Chung Tang, the member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said, "Innovation is the first driving force for development, involving all walks of life, and everyone can innovate, but effective innovation must be aimed at realizing value-added."

"The most important innovation is to make possible what everyone thought was impossible. Only when a new concept adds value to the overall value can it be regarded as an innovation," Tang said.

Resource docking

Entrepreneurship resource matchmaking is one of the important activities of this summit. With the theme of "Innovating Layout, Foreseeing the Future," this matchmaking meeting included ten entrepreneurship projects, a roadshow, comments, and finally, an intention to invest 43 million yuan (about $6.8 million).

Investment institutions pay special attention to science and technology projects. Among them, Chongqing Shengming Zhiyuan Technology Co., Ltd. has brought the "Precise Medical Frontier Micro-Cell Technology CRO Project." Its patented technology involves the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of early tumors, which is expected to promote the development of laboratory medicine.

Ten incubation bases

Ten bases were newly listed as "Chongqing Entrepreneurship and Innovation" municipal-level entrepreneurial incubation bases. Including the Chongqing Artificial Intelligence Entrepreneurship Incubation Base in Yubei District, Chongqing Veterans Entrepreneurship Incubation Park in Jiulongpo District, and Shuangxin Entrepreneurship Incubation Base in Qianjiang District. The municipal finance will give a one-time subsidy based on the standard of 600,000 yuan(about $94,260) per base, which will be used for the incubation base to provide service targets with rent reduction, utility reduction, and exemption, entrepreneurial innovation services, information collection, and other related service expenditures.

According to officials, this year marks the 10th anniversary of Chongqing's entrepreneurial incubation base. At present, the city has built 102 municipal-level entrepreneurial incubation bases, incubating 16,000 enterprises and driving 144,000 jobs. It has become an exemplary platform integrating communication, cultivation, training, incubation, display, and docking.
