Chongqing- At the press conference of Chongqing anti-monopoly and anti-unfair competition on December 14, a local official responsible for market regulation gave a detailed introduction of the "double anti" initiatives and the establishment of big data supervision platform.
Xu Jun, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Chongqing Administration for Market Regulation said that Chongqing took the lead to organize community purchase operators, suppliers, and other representatives to hold administrative guidance sessions.
From early August this year, the authority joined third-party professional monitoring agencies to pay close attention to key community group buying platforms, especially to price fluctuations, promotional campaigns, and other operational conditions.
"We also urged the community purchase operators to control the food quality and safety access strictly, and carry the main responsibility of the relevant operators of food safety." Xu Jun said it had taken 30 batches of samples through the supervision of industrial product quality, and the testing work is still in progress.
Aiming at the anti-monopoly and anti-unfair competition, Xu Jun indicated that in the next, they would focus on livelihood, public utilities, the digital Internet economy, and other key areas, continuing to strengthen supervision and enforcement.
"We are exploring the establishment of a big data monitoring and supervision platform, intensifying the supervision of the whole process of fair competition review." Xu Jun added, "We will use effectively the Internet, artificial intelligence, big data, and other technical means to carry out warning analysis and evidence fixation of various types of monopoly and unfair competition."
