Chongqing-Chongqing Digital Industry Demonstration Park was unveiled in Jiangbei District, Chongqing, on December 17. On the same day, Western Digital Trading Center settled in Jiangbei District, Chongqing.

Chongqing Digital Industry Demonstration Park was constructed by Digital Chongqing Company and Jiangbei District People's Government, which is the first digital industry demonstration park jointly built by municipality and district.

250 billion yuan within five years

The output value of Chongqing Digital Industry Demonstration Park will reach 250 billion yuan($39.2 billion) within five years.

According to the plan, the park will strive to introduce and cultivate more than three listed companies (or unicorn companies) within five years and strive for more than 500 companies settled in. 

What does the Western Digital Trading Center trade?

"Data packages, API interfaces, big data application solutions, data transaction services, etc. can be traded." A  Western Digital Transaction Center official said, "The center provides buyers and sellers with a compliant data transaction venue."

On the same day of the event, the trading center listed three data products with western characteristics across the country.

At the event site, as the operating platform of the Western Digital Trading Center, Western Digital Trading Co., Ltd. signed contracts with the first batch of 21 ecological cooperative companies collectively. The first batch includes China Telecom, China Mobile, State Grid Electric Power, First Chain TravelSky, etc. 

"The Western Digital Trading Center will focus on the entire process of data transactions, including data cleaning, management, processing, data product modeling, development, packaging." officials said.

"The Western Digital Trading Center aims to provide all parties in the transaction ecology with a full-process compliance system." according to the officials.

In recent years, Chongqing has vigorously developed big data and smart technology. The supporting capacity of data center servers in Chongqing has exceeded 400,000 units. The top nodes of national industrial Internet identification analysis serve six provinces and cities in the western region. Chongqing urban big data resource center has accessed 3726 types of data from 69 municipal departments.
