Chongqing- In the past two years, Chongqing's economy grew by 6.1% on average, driving more than 1.4 million new urban jobs. After initial surveys, every 1% economic growth will drive employment of more than 100,000 people, according to the press conference held on January 24. 

Xie Xin, Deputy Director of Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, added that Chongqing would build an employment service network with full coverage and continuously strengthen the construction of public employment service platforms at multi-levels of districts, townships, and communities, to create a 15-minute employment service circle.

College graduates employment information network

From the press conference until now, 64 colleges and universities in Chongqing have used the information network, which has achieved full employment coverage. More than 290,000 graduates of the class of 2022 have activated their accounts on the network, accounting for 92.1% of the total number of college graduates. Also, it has attracted more than 15,000 enterprise employers, and the number of visits has reached more than 70 million times. 

During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) period, the relevant education departments in Chongqing will further build and improve the employment information network. 

On the one hand, Chongqing will realize the resource sharing of employers and employees by creating an intelligent employment platform. The recruitment information of employers is open to all graduates of colleges and universities, and vice versa, to improve the recruitment efficiency to a great extent. 

On the other hand, this network aims for various functions provided to students, schools, and enterprises, such as video interviews and online signing contracts. Consulting services could also be included by analyzing employers' demands and graduates' job intentions. The network can provide a reference for employment guidance, discipline adjustment, and talent training. It also provides the government with an employment situation forecast to offer more timely, accurate, and objective consulting services.

Economic development employment-oriented 

Zhu Jiang, deputy director of the Chongqing Development and Reform Commission, said that only market players' sustainable and healthy development could promote employment. In the past two years, the cost for enterprises has been reduced by nearly 120 billion yuan. Meanwhile, the total number of market players has now reached 3.204 million. 

In terms of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, a total of 8 national-level demonstration bases and 102 municipal-level entrepreneurship incubation bases have been established, further stimulating the entrepreneurial vitality of the whole society. Similarly, 11 national demonstration parks for integrated development of rural industries have been successfully established, creating employment for nearly 56,000 people.

In the next step, the Chongqing Development and Reform Commission will continue to prioritize employment in economic and social development, and take multiple measures to create more high-quality jobs. It strives to achieve a revenue of 150 billion yuan in Chongqing's human resources service industry by 2025, with a total of 3,500 institutions and more than 35,000 employees.
