Chongqing- Planning your schedule with a voice assistant on your smartphone, a smart car will automatically park outside your office building after watching the day's events along the way. Your intelligent butler will adjust the temperature, lights, and music at home and prepare appetizers before you step inside... this is what future life will be like in AI CITY in Chongqing.
The first opening area of the AI CITY, located in the Western (Chongqing) Science City of China, has been successfully capped recently.
With a total construction area of approximately 29,000 square meters, AI CITY is designed and operated by Terminus Group. It is a pioneering area for building a model of artificial intelligence city and a center embedded with high-tech experience, exhibitions, and tests for the future city.
The AI CITY project is designed to be a data-driven intelligent body where 90% of software- and hardware-generated data will be well-analyzed and managed. Data generated at every node will become the driving force of the city.
Within the AI CITY, various solutions, including smart communities, smart fire protection, smart security, smart finance, and smart cultural tourism, are all packed into digital layers ready to be deployed in upgrading the target industries.
In simple terms, cities of the future will no longer grow old with time, as intelligent iterative upgrading can be realized through interconnection.
The technology development was collaborated by Terminus AI Park and renowned universities research centers such as Tsinghua and Tongji University.
Serving as one of the 10-billion-dollar projects in the Western (Chongqing) Science City and a major project in the construction of the Smart City in Chongqing, the AI CITY project aims to create the Cloud Valley in Chongqing.
Specifically, in the first phase of the AI CITY project, AI PARK will build an artificial intelligence city sample with robot service scenes, new retail live scenes, and community intelligent security systems as the core.
Ai Yu, Founder and CEO of Terminus Group, said that AI Park has also become an ecological park that uses Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) technology to monitor carbon emissions throughout its life cycle.
"Over 60 robots are shuttling here, more than 200 kinds of intelligent terminals, 50 kinds of IoT protocol applications, and 63 kinds of permanent intelligent algorithms," said Ai. "They have completed independent evolution through the urban smart operating system, achieving zero carbon emissions in the operation stage."
Ai added it is estimated that 170,000 tons of nearby carbon dioxide will be absorbed 50 years later.
Ai believes that the Western (Chongqing) Science City embodies many advantages of Chongqing, from strategic positioning to superior location, industrial foundation, and great ecology.
With platform building and big data intelligence benefits, a new generation of technology companies like Terminus sees huge development space in the AI CITY.
According to the relevant person in charge of Chongqing High-tech Development and Construction Investment Co., Ltd., focusing on big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, intelligent manufacturing, AI CITY will build an innovation and development ecosystem for artificial intelligence and invest in a series of construction projects.
For example, this involves the global headquarter of Terminus, the national AIoT industry innovation center, the Public Service Platform of AI CITY, the Terminus Intelligent Internet of Things Joint Research Institute, and five major intelligent industrial bases.
After these projects are put into production, AI CITY will become an important digital economy industrial base.
In addition, AI CITY will promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and enhance the vitality of regional new economic industries by gathering new economic enterprises and creating new ones.
Meanwhile, AI CITY will attract various types of scientific and technological talents, making it a talented highland in Chongqing and an intelligent and sustainable development park integrating nature, science, and technology.
