Chongqing- Two batches of nucleic acid testing instruments and reagents from a Chongqing enterprise were effectively used in Zhangjiakou, a co-host city with Beijing of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

During the Beijing Winter Olympics, Zhangjiakou held two sports, including skiing and biathlon, six disciplines, including snowboarding, freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, nordic combined and biathlon, and the other 50 events.

To prevent and control the epidemic, the Hebei Health Commission mobilized 300 medical workers in all cities of the province. They were equipped with 34 full-automatic nucleic acid extraction instruments, 60 nucleic acid amplification test instruments, three mobile PCR laboratories, and other security equipment.

"As one of the main suppliers of nucleic acid testing instruments and reagents, we provided all the nucleic acid extraction instruments, most of the nucleic acid extraction reagents and amplification reagents for Zhangjiakou," said the relevant person in charge of Zybio Inc.

Zybio Inc. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in R&D, manufacture, sales, and technical services of in vitro diagnostic reagents and equipment. The headquarter and manufacturing center is located in Dadukou District, Chongqing.

50,000 were tested in one day

The fully-automatic nucleic acid extraction instrument developed and produced by Zybio Inc. can extract 32 samples in 9 minutes and 96 samples in 12 minutes, and the detection limit of amplification reagents is as low as 200 cps/mL so that the efficiency and accuracy of nucleic acid detection can be fully guaranteed.

The nucleic acid testing laboratory in Zhangjiakou can test up to 50,000 people in a single day.

In addition to providing relevant products, Zybio Inc. also sent four professional R&D staff and technical service personnel to be stationed at the site of the Winter Olympics throughout the whole process.

They stayed together with medical staff to better service for this Winter Olympic Games.
