The artistic style from China came to the other side of the Pacific Ocean in such a wonderful way, showcasing the dragon and lion dance, the Guzheng music, a traditional string instrument of China, and vividly costumed Chinese dramas.
Luo Xiaoyan, one of the event hosts, was proud of the performances that symbolized the traditional elements of China, but she was also excited by the promotional video that showed the scenery of her hometown Chongqing.

"The train bound for spring, the sailing 'Chaotianmen,' the various bridges, these are all Chongqing landmarks." Because of the response to the epidemic prevention and control policy, Luo Xiaoyan, who has been working outside for more than 20 years, chose to spend the New Year in Minnesota this year. Invited to participate in the event, she couldn't help but introduce the scenery of her hometown to the audience around her every time the screen broadcasted Chongqing's promotion video.

Luo Xiaoyan found that both her domestic compatriots and local people seemed to be interested in her hometown, "People would appreciate the short film very carefully, and some foreign friends even came to ask me, especially what kind of season they could see such a beautiful scenery." Luo Xiaoyan proudly responded, "The beauty of Chongqing is at any time and anywhere."
For the choice of Chongqing promotion video for display, the event organizer Minnesota Chinese Federation said that "Chongqing in overseas attention continues to increase, as 'Romantic' 'passion' and 'expectation' are the feelings that people often have when they talk about this city."
According to the Chongqing Foreign Cultural Exchange Association, since 2018, Chongqing has continued to carry out cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation with Minnesota State, having repeatedly opened a window for overseas people to understand Chongqing and a platform to enhance friendship through a series of activities themed on folklore festivals and traditional culture.
"It feels like Chongqing's circle of friends is getting bigger and bigger, and there are more and more expatriates who have a strong interest in Chongqing." Luo Xiaoyan exclaimed that when living overseas, there are many local people who are fascinated by the scenery and food around the country and "wait and expect us to show more."
