With the arrival of March, lovely spring days are well underway. Everything, from gentle breezes to blooming flowers, makes it best to enjoy colorful flowers on an outing.

For people who plan to challenge on a Cliff Trail, here is an ideal route in downtown Chongqing. So why not embark on a hiking trip to well soak up spring?

As a road connecting Shapingba and Yuzhong Peninsula Chongqing, the Half-hill Scarpline Trail twists up along the winding mountain ridge of Yuzhong Peninsula. Among others, Pingdingshan Cultural Park along the way is an excellent choice for a hiking trip in springtime.

Here is a reminder—the mainline of the trail in Shapingba District is two kilometers long, and the sideline is 5.2 kilometers long. When you walk into a forest, the trail is lined by exuberant trees, and you may feel like walking from a city to a forest as you finish the way.

Moreover, Longquandong Taoist Temple along the way also provides a good side trip if culture and history are your things. It is an exquisite temple built in the air by the mountain. Surrounded by nature and lushness, it feels like surreally being secluded from the outside urban world filled with worldly worries.

Also, the Half-Cliff Trail in Shapingba District can offer an incredibly commanding view of the Jialing River and the Yangtze River. As you walk up along the trail, your view expands until you command a fine view of the Jialing River.

When you see the emerald Jialing River, the slow-moving Liangjiang Night Cruise, the flying pigeons in the sunshine, and other things that make the river scenery even more charming, you just cannot help but think if only time could stop at the moment.
