What Poverty-Alleviation Experience Would China Share with the World?

By EIKO CHENGALEX REPORTERFY|Mar 12,2022

Chongqing- China is the world's largest developing country, with a population of 1.4 billion. In 2020, the country achieved rapid development in step with large-scale poverty alleviation and economic transformation in step with the elimination of extreme poverty.

By supporting other developing countries in poverty alleviation, launching the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to expand deep and high-level regional cooperation, and sharing its experience on poverty reduction with the world, China's new chapter of fighting poverty is accelerating the global poverty alleviation.

What does the world know about China's effort? And what kind of experience that the world would need from China's poverty alleviation?

iChongqing invited YouTuber @AreWeThereYet \@FerMuBe and Jerry Grey to talk about their experiences about China's poverty alleviation. The guests have been living in this country for years and have traveled through many cities and areas, and they shared a lot of poverty alleviation examples in Gansu, Guizhou, and Guangxi.

The live stream started with discussing how China improves infrastructure for poverty alleviation. Our guests shared facts and opinions about how to define poverty, how things are going under the "targeted poverty alleviation" strategy, and "eradicating poverty through development" in this country. The conversation ends with the topic of the future of China's poverty alleviation, along with rational comments from our audience abroad in iChongqing's YouTube channel, Facebook page, and Twitter account during the live stream.

Check out the recap version of the live stream. We've kept the essence of the conversation for you.
