Chongqing - The first community-based immigration services center in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area opened on March 4 in the Hemu Road Community.
The center is one of the four of its kind in Chongqing, assisting international residents on visa and residence permit applications, providing online interview services, and counseling on relevant laws and regulations.

The center will also coordinate with relevant departments to assist in business, employment, tourism and establish a systematic immigrant service.
Hemu Road community accommodates nearly 1,000 international residents from 27 countries and regions, including Korea, Singapore, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia. Most of the residents are employed by FG 500 companies settled in Liangjiang New Area.
The service center will improve its service and management function by providing smart, diversified, and international immigration services and will host cultural events to better serve residents, according to Jin Can, the vice director of the community committee, said.
