Sandwiched by India, Bangladesh in South Asia as well as Thailand, Laos, and other Southeast Asian countries, Myanmar is adjacent to China's Yunnan Province in the northeast and the Indian Ocean in the south, enjoying access to geographical advantages and development conditions.

This train will arrive in Yangon in about 10 days at the fastest, which is more than 20 days faster than the traditional way, said Li Wei, a head of the New Land-Sea Corridor Operation Co., Ltd.

This new rail line provides inland areas in western China with access to the Indian Ocean via Myanmar, which greatly reduces the transportation distance and time, and promotes China's inland opening up to the rest of the world.

The launch of an important logistics channel to Southeast Asia and South Asia is of great significance to provide the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain in the countries along the route.

As a cross-regional comprehensive operation platform, the New Land-Sea Corridor Operation Co., Ltd. will constantly improve the international logistics network to facilitate global transportation, relying on important routes, like China-Vietnam, China-Laos-Thailand, China-Myanmar-Indian Ocean, to connect and consolidate crucial node cities.

In the future, it will continuously facilitate the economic corridor between China and the Indochina Peninsula, injecting new vitality into the economic and social development of the countries and regions along the route.
