Chongqing- This year, Chongqing proposes to formulate plans for "dual carbon" goals to optimize the structure of energy, industry, transportation, and land use.
In terms of the power grid, the State Grid Chongqing Electronic Power Company has made efforts to construct intelligent shared energy internet.
By actively consuming new energy sources such as wind and photoelectricity, it adds green momentum to support the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and international metropolis development.
Due to a lack of relevant energy resources, Chongqing belongs to a receiving-end power grid, said a source from the Chongqing Electronic Power Company.
Accordingly, Chongqing imported abundant clean energy from further western regions, where rich resources exist.

From January to February this year, Chongqing Electronic Power Company invested more than 100 million kilowatt-hours of wind and light new energy power from Northwest China's Gansu and Ningxia, consuming 3.279 billion kilowatt-hours.
To ensure the power supply and local, high-quality ecological environment, Chongqing endeavors to construct a clean power infrastructure as well.
During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), Chongqing took the lead in the clean energy purchases, accounting for about 56% of its electricity.
In a small three-story building with black photovoltaic panels on the roof, several new energy electric vehicles are charging beside the charging piles in front of the building.
Located in Miaoba Town, Chengkou County, the northernmost county-level region of Chongqing, this tiny power supply station is responsible for supplying electricity to 31 villages and 11,700 users in the surrounding areas.
The roof is installed with 560 square meters of photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 151 kilowatts, which is expected to generate over 150,000-kilowatt-hour of electricity annually.
Compared with traditional thermal power, it is equivalent to an annual reduction of about 50.6 tons of standard coal consumption and 152 tons of annual carbon dioxide emission reduction.
This power supply station has recently been upgraded to achieve green energy consumption in the office areas and become the first zero-carbon power supply station in Chongqing with integrated light storage and charging use model.

Recently, the first batch of intelligent sockets and mobile charging piles developed by the State Grid Chongqing Electronic Power Company has been applied in one of the expressway service areas in the Chengdu-Chongqing area.
This product can be flexibly dispatched to different fast-charging stations to meet the charging demand at different times, significantly alleviating the low utilization of charging piles.
Aiming for a highway charging service network in the city, the State Grid Chongqing Electronic Power Company has built 58 new charging stations and 430 charging piles.
For the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, both sides will complete the regional transition to green energy and low-carbon, regional transportation green and low-carbon initiatives.
A new green, low-carbon, and circular development model will take shape in both areas by 2025.
