Chongqing - The demonstration window of the overseas talent offshore innovation and entrepreneurship base in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area has established cooperative relations with more than 20 international innovation organizations.

Partners include Slush China, Young Earth Scientists Network, Yale Entrepreneurs Association of Students and Scholars, Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, and the European Technology Chamber (EUTECH). The demonstration window and Slush, the largest innovation and entrepreneurship service platform in Northern Europe, carry out roadshows every month, facilitating the investment and financing connection of more than 100 projects at home and abroad.

"As a bridge of communication for Chinese and Chilean enterprises, the demonstration window will help attract more people to participate in China-Chile sci-tech innovation exchanges and create more economic value," said Natalia Cortés, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Chile in China, at a seminar held by the demonstration window.

Liu Tianxiang, Director of Business Finland in China, also looks forward to international cooperation on innovation. He said, "we will expand cooperation in technological innovation, project implementation, financial investment, and talent exchange."

The demonstration window is operated by Kr Star Innovation (KSI), a talent platform of 36Kr, China’s famous internet media specializing in technology and enterprise. Up to now, 15 overseas talent programs have been introduced, including two programs directed by people with overseas Ph.D. degrees and four programs led by talents from the QS World’s Top 100 universities.

According to Wu Min, the person in charge at the operator KSI, to apply to join the window needs to meet three requirements:

  1. Applicant must have an overseas degree of at least a master's level or have two years of overseas working experience.
  2. Applicant must submit complete program materials and operation plan.
  3. The applicant’s company and program must be in normal operation.

Once introduced, enterprises are qualified to apply for free settlement. The company registration expense and a half year of office rent will be exempted for startup companies.

"Chongqing provides fertile ground for innovation and entrepreneurship, and we especially welcome talented people and teams to settle in," Wu said.

As one of the enterprises that have settled and been successfully incubated here, MINE Technologies is an Internet technology company integrating R&D, production, and sales of pan-smart home products.

"We moved here last September. With accelerated incubation facilitated by the window, we received rounds of investment. At the end of 2021, Mine Technologies was recognized as a national high-tech company, marking the successful incubation," said Jing Bo, founder of MINE Technologies.
