China's rural health care needs to be further improved. Left-behind elders in remote mountain villages lack health knowledge. Left-behind women suffer from chronic diseases and lack the skills to earn a living. Left-behind children's physical and mental health is not fully protected.
Therefore, the rural population urgently needs to improve their health awareness and master a variety of health therapies that can be learned and applied to improve their quality of life.
The Wuxi County Charity Association launched the “Building Natural Health House” project, where houses will be established in various towns and villages in Wuxi with the support of the Chongqing Natural Health Therapy Research Association, the Chongqing Health Care Technical Vocational Training School, and the Chongqing Longren Workshop.
The Natural Health House adopts a form of natural therapy that is environmentally friendly and can be learned and used to provide villagers with treatment services for chronic diseases such as low back and leg pain, shoulder and neck pain, insomnia, and general malaise.

The Natural Health House not only pays attention to the physical and mental health of left-behind people in rural areas, teaches natural health knowledge to left-behind elderly people and children, trains left-behind women in natural health technology, but also enables them to learn to help themselves, help others, and help each other.
The purpose is to fill the vacancies of medical and health services in towns and avoid problems such as lack of doctors and medicines, illness-induced poverty, and being pushed into poverty due to illness. In this way, the pain points of society can be addressed.
This project is expected to build 20 Natural Health Houses in the towns and sub-districts of Wuxi from 2022 to 2024. The plan will be implemented and completed in October 2024.
The project serves as an important part of the “Rural Revitalization·Chongqing Session” hosted by Chongqing Charity Federation under the guidance of Chongqing Civil Affairs Bureau and Chongqing Rural Revitalization Bureau, with special support from Tencent Charity and Tencent Southwest Headquarters.
The activity will be held from April 27 to April 29, 2022, focusing on assistance in industrial development, elderly care, care for children, education, talents cultivation, and aid for the needy and the poor.
