On Changzheng (Long March) Road, there is a rural elementary school — Yangjiao Primary School. The teachers here are willing to be the paving stones that help rural students embark on the road to knowledge.

At present, the Yangjiao Primary School is small and lacks operational funding. The village officials hope to seek help from the community to raise start-up funds through the project “The Pearls of Southern Chongqing. One Village, One Dream”.

Through reasonable planning and standardized implementation, the school will be turned into a Red Army elementary school with rural characteristics, fostering students with good performance both in morals and studies and providing talents for rural revitalization. The dream to carry forward the “red culture” in Yangjiao Village will be realized step by step.

The project was initiated by the Qijiang Charity Association and implemented with the support of the Chongqing Charity Federation. It aims to help each village in Qijiang revitalize its “industry, talents, ecology, organization and culture” and support the development of each village in characteristics to realize the ultimate dream of “revitalization for every village.”

The project serves as an important part of the “Rural Revitalization·Chongqing Session” hosted by Chongqing Charity Federation under the guidance of Chongqing Civil Affairs Bureau and Chongqing Rural Revitalization Bureau, with special support from Tencent Charity and Tencent Southwest Headquarters.

The activity will be held from April 27 to April 29, 2022, focusing on assistance in industrial development, elderly care, care for children, education, talents cultivation, and aid for the needy and the poor.
