During the activities, Yibin will display the development achievements of museums in Sichuan and Chongqing. Besides, the city will announce awards for various activities related to those museums in 2021, involving choice exhibits, excellent cases in education based on research and practice, posters for museums, short videos about museums, and works for cultural relics revitalization. The new Yibin Museum building will also be open to the public. At the same time, two exhibitions will be staged, From Same Origin For Shared Growth: Special Exhibition of Bashu Bronze Civilization and Bashu Mountains and Rivers: The Second Cultural and Creative Exhibition. In addition, the city will organize lectures given by experts in museology, Sichuan-Chongqing public-interest antique authentication, and other activities, which will better enable the locals to feel "the power of museums."

The newly launched From Same Origin For Shared Growth: Special Exhibition of Bashu Bronze Civilization will last for three months, from May 18 to August 17. Under the theme of "Bashu bronze civilization in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties," the exhibition gathers more than 130 pieces (sets) of cultural relics from nearly 20 museums in Sichuan and Chongqing. With Yibin as the link, the exhibition pools the regional cultural resources of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. By virtue of advanced technologies, those cultural relics will be exhibited to demonstrate the harmonious atmosphere in which Sichuan and Chongqing cultures are closely interconnected and boost each other.

Bashu Mountains and Rivers: The Second Cultural and Creative Exhibition will only last for one week, from May 18 to 25. More than 4,000 pieces (sets) of cultural and creative exhibits will be displayed. They are collected from more than 40 museums, including Sichuan Museum, Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum, Sanxingdui Museum, Chongqing Natural History Museum, Jinsha Site Museum, Academy of Dazu Rock Carvings, Chengdu Museum, Baiheliang Underwater Museum, Sichuan University Museum and Chongqing Jianchuan Museum. The exhibition aims to fully demonstrate the characteristics and achievements of museums' cultural and creative product development in Sichuan and Chongqing.

On May 18, Ran Honglin will give an academic lecture on the new discoveries of Sanxingdui. He serves as Director of Sanxingdui Institute of Archaeology under Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics and Archaeology Research Institute, Deputy Director of Sanxingdui Museum, and head of the archaeological team at the newly found sacrificial pits of Sanxingdui. It is worth mentioning that, in 2022, the sacrificial zone of the Sanxingdui Site in Guanghan, Sichuan, was included in the list of China's Top 10 New Archaeological Discoveries of 2021. It is another top honor in the industry won by the sacrificial zone after it was listed among the New Archaeological Discoveries of China sponsored by the New Archaeological Discoveries of China in mid-March.
