How Do We Benefit From Green Transportation in China? | LIVE REPLAY

Chongqing- Driving an RV (recreational vehicle) trailer to travel might not sound exciting, but it flourished in many western countries since 1945. It is one of the most popular leisure activities in Europe, the USA, and Australasia and is increasingly popular in countries where space and facilities permit it today.

But what do you think of the possibility of a family that drives an EV to pull a trailer and travel around China? You might be amazed by the booming EV camping development in China and the exciting stories of EV travelers.

In this live stream, iChongqing invited two YouTube content creators, @FerMuBe and @Walkabout Rojo to live stream on China's Green Transportation jointly. By sharing the real experiences and insights of the green energy vehicle industry and infrastructure implementations in China, we tried to establish an indigenous perspective to understand what this country does to develop green transportation, how we benefit from it, and what we expect in the future.

We addressed the issue in this conversation because we see the severe challenges while the world is facing climate change and energy structure imbalance nowadays. Many countries and regions are putting effort into building a greener society, including China. As a developing country, China did not only pledge to the Paris Agreement but committed to peaking its carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions before 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions before 2060. But also, more importantly, this was quoted from President Xi Jinping, “China attaches high importance to addressing climate change is not at others’ request but on China’s own initiative. It is what China needs to do to achieve sustainable development at home and fulfill its due obligation to build a community with a shared future for humanity."

We believe this topic is deeply related to everyone’s life, and China’s action greatly affects how we shape our world more sustainably.
