The year 2021 marked the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Cai Kun organized 100 young and middle-aged calligraphers to transcribe 100 Hongyan poems, which were then mounted into five calligraphy scrolls. The contributors to the 100-meter calligraphy scroll of Hongyan poetry included teachers and students at Changshu Institute of Technology, as well as members of Suzhou Calligrapher's Association. Zhang Daoyang spent almost half a year producing the 60-meter calligraphy scroll of the Communist Manifesto, accompanied by a pamphlet of the seven prefaces. He refined the draft three times.

"In childhood, I read the novel Red Rock (Hongyan) and sang Embroidering the Red Flag. Like embroidering the Red Flag, Suzhou calligraphers and I created the 100-meter calligraphy scroll of Hongyan poetry," said Cai at the ceremony.

Cai, 73, is a son of a revolutionary pioneer. "During the revolutionary period, we had no real name, no real place of birth, or no association with relatives. We have no tangible heritage from our parents, and we haven't seen our father in person." He said. In the eventful years, the revolutionary pioneers wrote a unique and extraordinary chapter with their ideals and beliefs.

"My father was one of the unsung heroes," Cai said that we should remember them because their sacrifices made it possible for us to live a happy life today.

"Hongyan is a record of the history. The Hongyan spirit demonstrates the power of truth and the light of faith. By donating the 60-meter calligraphy scroll of the Communist Manifesto to Chongqing Hongyan Revolution History Museum, I want to express my determination to faithfully follow and work for the Party for the rest of my life," said Zhang.

"It is of great significance for publicity and the times to donate the two calligraphy works to Chongqing Hongyan Revolution History Museum. We will take good care of the two calligraphy works, and make full use of our own resources to display them, and disseminate and carry forward the Hongyan spirit," said Lei Ying, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of Chongqing Hongyan Alliance Culture Developing Management Center (Chongqing Hongyan Revolution History Museum).
