Sujiaba Trail, located at Tongyuanju Station of CRT Line 3 in Nan'an District, Chongqing, has been officially open to the public, offering locals and tourists another excellent place to have fun.

Surrounded by the river on three sides, the suspended observation deck here enjoys a fascinating view of Sujiaba Interchange, Caiyuanba Yangtze River Bridge, and Yuzhong Peninsula across the river. Hence, it is a perfect place to experience the unique charm of Chongqing's mountain and river landscape.

The Sujiaba Trail project consists of a 300-meter-long uphill trail, a pedestrian overpass, and seven escalators. Thus, a 600-meter-long uphill trail system is developed to provide pedestrians with a convenient path. With a height difference of a hundred meters, Sujiaba Trail has shortened the walking distance by about one kilometer and the walking time by about 15 minutes for 40,000 people living in seven residential communities in the Rongqiao area.

Meanwhile, Sujiaba Trail has also facilitated the transfer of traffic. Thanks to it, smooth traffic can be realized on the Tongyuan by-pass, and the vehicular and pedestrian traffic systems to the west of Tongyuanju Station can be linked together. At the same time, it has made good use of the vacant land outside Tongyuanju Station and built the original and terminal stations here for a bus route. Thus, the connection system that combines CRT, bus, and walkway is improved, and surrounding residents can enjoy direct traffic links to CRT stations.

Moreover, during the construction of Sujiaba Trail, the sidewalks and footpaths around Tongyuanju Station were resurfaced, the lighting devices, surveillance equipment, barrier-free facilities, and supporting facilities, including overpasses and vertical elevators, were improved, and more public toilets were built. By doing so, more convenience can be brought to pedestrians.

Notably, as it is backed by the mountain and faces the river, Sujiaba Trail has taken full advantage of the landform in improving its public space and built an "urban balcony" that enjoys a commanding view of Yangtze River and Yuzhong Peninsula to display the unique charm of "8D magic city". Moreover, it has also combined the history of Tongyuanju as a birthplace of Nan'an District's modern industries. By doing so, it tries to exhibit the culture of Tongyuanju with a history of about a hundred years and offers an excellent place to relax and have fun for nearby residents.
