Chongqing-The 2022 Sichuan-Chongqing Housing and Urban and Rural Development Expo will be held from July 28 to 30, attracting countries like the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, and leading enterprises from different regions and industries in Sichuan and Chongqing to participate, according to the press conference on July 25.

With the theme of Sichuan-Chongqing Cooperation to Build a High-Quality Livable Religion, the expo involves exhibitions, main activities, special forums, and supporting activities, said Chen Guangyu, member of the party group and deputy director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

New technologies and breakthroughs presented

The 2022 Sichuan-Chongqing Housing and Urban and Rural Development Expo will showcase several features and highlights.

This expo focuses on the development and cutting-edge technologies of the housing construction industry, where the leading enterprises from the national housing construction industry will present new technologies and breakthroughs in the sector's development in an all-around way. 

Furthermore, the expo also highlights the achievements of Sichuan-Chongqing cooperation in housing construction. It focuses on the collaboration between Sichuan and Chongqing in the construction industry, real estate market, housing security, and housing provident fund. It demonstrates breakthroughs and achievements in new industrial systems. The expo strives to become a Sichuan-Chongqing cooperation model.

Through inviting several academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, national engineering survey, and design masters, and scientific research institutes such as the China Academy of Building Research, China Urban Planning and Design Institute, as well as experts and scholars from well-known universities, this expo aims to contribute to the housing and urban and rural development. 

Sponge city and new infrastructure are hot topics

During the Expo, seven special forums will be held, including the Sichuan-Chongqing Urban Spatial Form Reshaping Summit Forum under the TOD Mode, the Sichuan-Chongqing Sponge City, and Urban Water System Development Summit Forum, the Sichuan-Chongqing Green Building Conference and the Urban & Rural Construction Green Development Summit Forum, as well as New Urban Infrastructure Construction Summit Forum, etc.

The exhibition area of this expo is about 45,000 square meters, with a total of three pavilions and six exhibition areas, including Urban Renewal Practice Achievement, Intelligent Construction and Building Industrialization, Big Data Intelligence, and Technology Innovation Exhibition Halls, etc.

In addition, the other supporting activities involve the Real Estate Technology Expo, the collection and display of works of architectural bridge models in colleges and universities, etc.

Forty-two cities (prefectures), districts (counties), and more than 200 scientific research institutes, enterprises, and institutions in the field of housing construction from Chengdu, Zigong, Wanzhou, Fuling, and other Sichuan-Chongqing regions will participate in the exhibition.
