The most difficult track in China based on mountain city

This activity is prep and warm-up for the imminent 2022 IVISTA Intelligent Collected Vehicle Challenge. It is an important professional competition for the Smart China Expo (SCE). Due to its professional competition system, strict rules, highly competitive system, and enjoyable traits, it has become the most influential professional intelligent collected vehicle competition in China and the world.

On behalf of the event organizer, Zhang Qiang, general manager at Intelligent Connected Technology of CAERI, announced relevant information about the 2022 IVISTA Intelligent Collected Vehicle Challenge on the scene. He said the event would not only add an extreme challenge to Chongqing but also make the competition much more competitive and enjoyable.

For example, the virtual simulation challenge will use data from real scenarios to simulate all scenarios typical of intelligent driving, including the most representative traffic accidents, edge limits, and continuous simulation tracks, to reflect the participating teams' real driving skills.

This year's extreme challenge in Chongqing deserves attention. It will be designed based on the city's mountainous landscapes, involving many sharp turns and slopes adjacent to Mingyue Lake, Liangjiang New Area. Conquering this track, which is said to be the most difficult in China, will be a big challenge for intelligent connected vehicles.

In addition, this year's functional unmanned vehicle challenge will set shipping and pickup scenarios in the 1.2 km race by imitating the unmanned delivery scenarios amid the pandemic to test the advancement and accuracy of unmanned driving perception, decision-making and control algorithms, the safety of vehicles during runtime, and the traffic efficiency in complex scenarios.

The 2022 IVISTA Intelligent Collected Vehicle Challenge, scheduled to begin on August 15, is much anticipated because of its newly added more competitive and exciting events. It's reported that 11 auto manufacturers, including Chang'an Automobile, SAIC Group, and Geely, and 102 teams from Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Southwest University, and other universities have confirmed that they will participate in this year's race.
