Living in a Smart City | SCE2022

Chongqing- Starting from 2018, Smart China Expo has been held every year in Chongqing, which promotes the development of a smart manufacturing powerhouse and a renowned smart city. In keeping with the theme of "Smart Technology: Empowering Economy, Enriching Life" and the focus on the "smart city" this year, the Smart China Expo 2022 is about to display the city's ambition and strategy in the construction of smart city from every angle.

Smart City Operation

The Smart City Operation and Management Center in Chongqing integrates platforms and enables collaborative management and services across different systems and departments through data sharing and analysis.

For instance, if there's anything wrong in your neighborhood, the inspectors will follow up and report the problem to the Center via their intelligent terminals. In this way, issues can be quickly distributed to the relevant departments.

Smart Transportation

A smart city uses technology to provide services and solve problems.

Chongqing Rail Transit is an example. Its express train services can cross multiple lines thanks to its interconnection system. The automotive driving vehicle is another example. As the first fully unmanned transportation service qualifier in China, Apollo Go has obtained the qualifications to conduct a commercial transport service in Yongchuan District Chongqing, which means the unmanned taxi is available in Yongchuan Chongqing.

Smart Medical Equipments

Diagnosis and treatment of diseases are based on blood tests. In a blood test, the Turn-Around Time (TAT) is the time from when the specimens are applied, the patient samples are delivered, and the specimens are accepted, inspected, and reviewed until the patient receives the results.

Currently, 40% to 60% of TAT is devoted to pre-analytical specimen collection. Blood samples require long preparation times and many people to handle them, including doctors, nurses, patients, transport workers, and inspectors.

The Movable Intelligent Blood Tube Collection System (MIBS) connects to the Internet of Things and uses 5G technology. The system eliminates errors and speeds up the process of blood collection, ensuring quality medical care. Information about specimens can be transmitted to the inspection department in advance, reducing inspection time and reagent losses.

Smart  construction site

Through technologies such as big data and the Internet of Things, the smart construction site realizes the visual and intelligent management of construction engineering.

The intelligent management and control platform integrates all the ongoing projects at Chongqing's Airport T3B construction site.

A QR code scan lets you see the construction site in VR, 720P resolution. When workers arrive at the site, real-time monitoring can identify people who might not be following the safety standards to ensure the site is safe.

The Jiangbei Airport T3B terminal project was recently certified as a three-star smart construction site, the highest level on the smart construction site certification scale.

The SCE 2022 will explore how digital technology can be used to develop digital industries and transform traditional industries in the context of national development strategies.

With both online and offline venues, SCE 2022 will feature significant activities, including the Opening Ceremony and Summit, exhibitions, forums, contests, deliverable presentations, business activities, and signing ceremonies. Furthermore, this year's SCE will provide an overview of the socioeconomic development achievements of the previous four expos.
