Changan NEV to launch one to two new products every year

"As the new energy market grows rapidly," said Guo Tong, Strategy and Marketing Department General Manager at Chongqing Changan New Energy Vehicles Technology Co., Ltd. "We must keep up with product launches and meet consumers' demands."

Changan Deep Blue (Shenlan) is a new EV brand under the Changan company, serving as another collaboration between Changan New Energy, Huawei, and CATL. It was unveiled during the Changan Automobile Global Partner Conference and has become a mainstream electric vehicle brand launched in 2022.

"We plan to launch one to two new products yearly," said Guo Tong, Strategy and Marketing Department General Manager at Chongqing Changan New Energy Vehicles Technology Co., Ltd. "In addition to its appearance, we believe its smart configuration level and electrification technology will lead the industry."

Established in August 2000, Chongqing Zongshen General Power and Machine Co., Ltd. is one of the World's largest manufacturers of general-purpose gasoline engines. For example, the smart production line, smart logistics, and smart control sections of the 1011 production line were built to provide individual and flexible production capacity for the entire production line.

"In terms of efficiency, the per capita efficiency has increased by 2.2 times, the automatic error prevention and correction capabilities have increased by 10.6 times, and the automation rate of operations has increased by ten times," said Jiang Wen, Information Senior Manager at Chongqing Zongshen General Power and Machine Co., Ltd.

Reusable, recyclable, and degradable production process

One aspect of the green change in Chongqing is encouraging the smart manufacturing of automobiles and motorcycles and strengthening worker-machine relationships.

"We build a very large smart warehouse which can support our peak volume every month," said Zhang Yi, Smart Manufacturing Director at OPPO (CHONGQING) intelligent ecological science and technology park. " A smart production line has been set up on the production line, which covers SMT assembly, testing, and packaging."

Zhang indicated that to achieve lower carbon dioxide emissions, and all the equipment has been connected to their SCADA platform, a self-developed IoT platform, making the whole process of product and material more reusable, recyclable, and degradable.

According to Xiang Zealand, Deputy General Manager of Chongqing Silian Sensor Technology Co., Ltd., "Digitalization and intellectualization are inevitable trends in the development of the electronic technology industry. Electronic technology development can only be achieved through green and sustainable development."

Turning waste into treasure for a green and low-carbon city

Furthermore, new energy-saving building materials are significant for constructing a green and low-carbon city. How can Chongqing turn waste into treasure?

"In the last years, Chongqing has invested in 15 waste-to-energy plants, which helps it treat municipal solid waste in a harmlessness reduction and recycling manner," said Kevin Lu, Deputy Director of Overseas Business at Chongqing Sanfeng Covanta Environmental Industry Co., Ltd.

Chongqing Sanfeng Covanta Environmental Industry Co., Ltd. is a China-based company engaged in waste incineration power generation-related businesses. Investment and operation of waste incineration power generation projects, Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) construction, and research, development, and manufacture of waste incineration power generation core equipment are among the Company's main businesses. 

"We remain committed to green development," said Sunny Lin, Chairman of Chongqing Tanva Lighting Co., Ltd., a returning investment enterprise invested by the Chongqing Fuling District government. “We believe this plan will increase our market share and benefit our business.”

Established in June 2008, Chongqing Tanva Lighting Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the research, development, and production of industrial lighting, road lighting, commercial lighting, and automobile lighting. A total of 1000 self-built factories have been completed in the Fuling District, which plays a vital role in detecting, preventing, and controlling the pandemic.

According to Lin, smart road lights can be equipped with traffic lights, air monitoring of PM2.5, and other pollution monitoring devices. "Moreover, video advertisement and interpretation devices can also be used for publicity and broadcasting."

A sustainable society will only function if it can rely on its technological systems. China's exploration of green and smart cities like Chongqing will never cease.
