Chongqing - Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT) has presented 38 scientific research achievements at the Smart China Expo (SCE) 2022, including Smart Health, Smart Governance, Smart Ecology, Smart Education, Smart Transportation, Smart Logistics, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exhibition.

One of the most eye-catching exhibits at the CQUPT Pavilion was the Zhongli Mars rover, which was developed by the research team of Huixin Jimu.

A Mars rover is a motor vehicle designed to travel on the surface of Mars. It roams Mars' landscape and looks for signs of life, studying and collecting data about the Red Planet's unique environment.

The Zhongli Mars rover is equipped with multiple vision sensors and self-developed visual perception and cognition modules, aiming to address the challenges of the limited landing site, short exploration range, and semi-autonomous driving in current rovers on Mars.

The Zhongli Mars Rover will support the intelligence, high efficiency, and extensive range development of Mars exploration.

Communication technology is the leading research area of CQUPT. The 5G industrial router and the vehicle-road collaboration system based on 5G and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) fully demonstrate the university's unique innovation capability.

In recent years, CQUPT has been building a highland for big data intelligent technology innovation. It has also been accelerating the construction of a national key laboratory for big data intelligent computing, contributing to smart manufacturing and the digital economy. Next, CQUPT will continue to promote the high-quality development of Chongqing.

CQUPT serves as a high-level teaching and research university in China with a significant influence in the field of information and communication, striving to become Chongqing's experimental site, talent highland, and technology highland for big data intelligence.
