Chongqing- On September 8, Chongqing Municipal People's Government announced new plans to build a world-class industrial cluster for Intelligent Connected Vehicles (ICV) and New Energy Vehicles (NEV). In 2030, Chongqing is expected to nurture one to two of the globally renowned ICV and NEV brands.

On September 8, at the Changan Automobile Global R&D Center in Yufuxin Town, Liangjiang New Area, people watched the Changan Automobile staff stand a few meters away from a Changan UNI-K, with only a smartphone to accurately control the vehicle into the parking space in less than a minute. 

Zhou Yang, director of Changan Automobile Intelligent Research Institute Intelligent Driving Department, explained that this is the APA6.0 remote parking technology, and many Changan models operate with the technology.

Even if the driver is not near the vehicle or several kilometers away, the car can park as long as the network is accessible. Meanwhile, the technology also supports automatic search for parking spaces.

"Imagine that you will be almost late and still anxiously looking for a parking space in the lot," said Zhou. "With this technology, you may park your car in a corner and wait until a parking space is available. Then, you can complete the parking through the smartphone."

Zhou added, "APA6.0 has 12 ultrasonic radars, four surround-view cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and one front camera. Which can sense and detect pedestrians or obstacles to avoid vehicle scratching."

"In the future, users will be able to allow the car to find a parking lot and call the car from the parking lot anytime and anywhere," said He Gang, general manager of Changan Automobile Intelligent Research Institute.

The meaning of cars for people will be beyond a car because a new generation of technological revolution is driving the transformation of cars from transportation tools to intelligent terminals. 

Changan Automobile released its new brand Zhuge Intelligence to usher the intelligence wave and debuted the New Auto CD701 prototype.

Recently, it has built a global emotionally intelligent high-tech brand AVATR and released a new digital pure electric brand; Changan Automobile has mastered more than 600 smart technologies. Before 2025, Changan Automobile will launch more than 30 new intelligent connected products. By 2025, Changan will devote more than 80 billion yuan to new energy, intelligence, and digital transformation.
