Chen Yong, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, introduced that there will be four events at the municipal level with different themes in Qianjiang District, Dazu District, Fengdu County, and Yunyang County on September 23.

To promote high-quality agricultural products to the market, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has launched four concrete measures to connect agricultural production and sales.

During important festivals such as Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, they carry out consumption activities to expand the sales channels of agricultural products, allow urban and rural residents to buy high-quality and cheap agricultural products, and help farmers increase their income.

The authorized agricultural products of "Bawei Yuzhen" can have access to display in the community, park, and other public places to sell and promote agricultural product brands and stimulate the consumption potential of urban and rural residents.

Some districts and counties, such as Wanzhou, Fuling, Dadukou, Jiangbei, Nan'an, Qijiang, Tongliang, Bishan, Kaizhou, and Fengdu, will carry out the exhibition and sales activities for characteristic agricultural products through offline presentation and online live broadcasts.

In addition, some districts and counties will invite "Internet celebrities" and "local Internet celebrities" to live broadcast goods. They have built rural e-commerce stores on e-commerce platforms such as JD.com and Taobao to sell famous, unique, and new agricultural products.

Due to the heatwave since July, the production of some essential agricultural products has been reduced in Chongqing. With the help of the Harvest Festival, Chongqing aims to make every effort to ensure the production and supply of farm products.

Chongqing has organized 11 industrial technical guidance groups to go deep into the districts and counties to guide the production of vegetables, livestock and poultry, and aquatic products.

The group dispensed agricultural materials such as seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural films and guided farmers to store water in time after rain and plow idle fields. Five hundred thousand mu of autumn potatoes will be expanded, and 500,000 mu of autumn fast-growing leafy vegetables will be planted.

They will continue to strengthen the water security of the farms, install water savers in the sheds, reduce drinking water leakage, and ensure clean drinking water for livestock and poultry. Villagers adopt cooling measures such as roof water spray to cool down the livestock and poultry breeding pens.
