Chongqing- "When I first came here eight years ago, most of this place was still fields and wasteland," said Luo Shuquan, chairman of the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park. Today, the logistics park has evolved from a suburban township area to an internationally renowned open platform, ready to become an international logistics city in the future.

Global commodities flow into the Chinese market 

Becoming an international railway channel to connect with Europe and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in the corridor's construction, the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park has managed to increase the number of international trains from less than four to 13 per day.

Now, China's passenger cars, agricultural products, and smart terminal products can be exported from Tuanjie Village to the world, while high-quality global commodities can flow into the Chinese market conveniently. 

With the Porsche distribution center and German Volkswagen China import general distribution settled, the park has imported more than 30,000 vehicles. As a group of world-renowned pharmaceutical companies gathering, 24 varieties have been imported and exported through its drug port.

The park has built a port from scratch, becoming the first-class railway port in the inland area, the first port for importing medicines and biological products, and the first railway port center for the international mail exchange bureau, completing Chongqing's open port system further. 

Top 10 global logistics real estates companies settled

Currently, an industrial pattern based on international logistics has been formed in the park, which integrates various businesses, such as international trade, supply chain finance, urban support, smart technology innovation, etc.

All kinds of logistics and warehousing bases can be seen, with projects that have been put into operation that belong to the top 10 global logistics real estate companies, including GLP, Ambow, Mapletree, and Goodman. The domestic lineup has been expanded to dozens of firms, such as Yonghui Logistics, Sinotrans, and Sanyangma.

Among them, Sanyangma Multimodal Transport (Chongqing) Intelligent Application Base is an excellent example to focus on automobile storage and distribution, relying on the park's edges in international trade and the vehicle industry. 

In this project, through the application of an automated guided vehicle (AGV) intelligent parking system, operation management platform system, and other technologies, the company improves the integration ability in the vehicle business of multimodal transportation, warehousing and distribution, and logistics information.

It aims to build it into the vehicle intelligent logistics distribution center in Chongqing, covering the country's main vehicle market. 

The company will increase investment in logistics bases and network layouts while continuing to strengthen investment in service innovation, talent introduction, and training, and information system construction to further improve logistics services and consolidate the company's core competitive ability said the chairman of Sanyangma Multimodal Transport (Chongqing) Intelligent Application Base.

According to statistics, the number of market entities in the park has increased from less than 200 ten years ago to more than 5,200, and the tax revenue has increased from 10 million yuan to 6.2 billion yuan in 2021.
