Chongqing - The 132nd session of the China Impact and Export Fair(Canton Fair) opened online on October 15. Chongqing participated online with the trading group that comprises 187 enterprises, including 11 new enterprises, increasing about 7% compared with last year's number.

Based on "facilitating dual circulation, " the Canton Fair exhibition content includes an online display platform, a supply and purchase docking service, and a cross-border e-commerce zone. The exhibition has set up virtual exhibition halls for online displays, providing consultation and conference services.

Chongqing's online exhibition included 17 famous brand enterprises, seven international high-tech enterprises, and eight enterprises. Those enterprises are from poverty-alleviation areas such as Wanzhou District, Qianjiang District, Fengdu County, Yunyang County, and Wushan County. The products are displayed in 39 exhibition areas, such as power, electric equipment, general machinery, motorcycles, daily ceramics, and food.

During the Canton Fair, 20 enterprises will also participate in supporting activities, such as Canton Fair Design Award selection, Trade Bridge-The 132nd Canton Fair Global Trade Promotion, online new products debut show, and so on.

Four industrial clusters - including the Jiulongpo District national base for foreign trade transformation(for motorcycles and components and parts), Rongchang District national base for foreign trade transformation(for textiles), Hechuan District national base for foreign trade transformation(for general machinery), Banan District national base for foreign trade transformation(for motorcycles and components and parts) - will attend the trade docking activities and conduct precise trade docking negotiations with multinational enterprises and international buyers.

The Canton Fair is the barometer and weather vane of Chinese foreign trade. Taking advantage of this open platform, Chongqing enterprises bring new technologies and products to participate in various activities, actively expand domestic and foreign merchants, and seek more market opportunities.

"We take the Canton Fair as an important platform to show the comprehensive strength of 'Made in Chongqing,'" said the person in charge of Meixin Group, which specializes in the manufacture of doors. As a "familiar face" at the Canton Fair, he said that the company had participated in the fair for 20 consecutive years, and many overseas customers favored its innovation ability and artistry. Its products were sold to more than 40 countries and regions worldwide.

In this Canton Fair, while enriching product lines and consolidating old foreign trade customers, Mexin Group will actively meet new customers and strive to achieve foreign trade orders. "This time, we show 68 products such as wooden doors, security doors, fire doors, wardrobes, cabinets, aluminum alloy doors, and windows. Many of them are new products that have just been upgraded to the market."

As an important trade promotion platform in China, the Canton Fair connects domestic and international markets and is an important node of dual circulation. To help enterprises explore the market by using the online platform of the Canton Fair, the Chongqing trading group conducted staged training for exhibitors to help them become more familiar with the online exhibition process, answer their questions online all day, improve the effectiveness of their live talks, and help them seize orders.
