Chongqing - The spokespersons for delegations from Chongqing to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) meet the press during a group interview in Beijing on Oct 19. During the interview, the spokespersons introduced the delegations' study and discussion on the report to the 20th CPC National Congress and answered questions from journalists. Journalists from home and abroad pay close attention to Chongqing's development and have high expectations for Chongqing's prospects.

Ma Yubao, a reporter from Chengdu Daily, also pays attention to the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. In his view, since ancient times, Sichuan and Chongqing have been closely related, and the Fuxing high-speed train has shortened the commute between the two places to about one hour. In the future, the Chengdu-Chongqing middle line high-speed rail and the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou high-speed railway will be more worth looking forward to.

Over the past two years, more than 300 government affairs have been updated between Chengdu and Chongqing, making it more convenient for the residents and enterprises to handle matters because they no longer have to travel between two places.

Not long ago, the two places also proposed building an equipment manufacturing industry cluster, the third trillion-level industrial cluster beside the automobile and electronic information industries. Ma believes that "A Tale of Twin-City" will be sung louder and louder.

"Chongqing and Guangxi have a deep relationship!" said Chen Guohai, a reporter from the Hangzhou media convergence center in Guangxi. As early as 2017, Chongqing, Guangxi, and Singapore jointly planned to open the prelude to constructing the the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC) . Goods from Chongqing and the western region arrive at the Beibu Gulf of Guangxi by train and are then transported to ASEAN countries. In 2019, ILSTC was upgraded to a national strategy. Today, the "circle of friends" of ILSTC is constantly expanding. He expects that Guangxi and Chongqing will work together to operate the the ILSTC in the future and gain more opportunities and policy dividends from this national strategy.

New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor under the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI-ILSTC) launched by Chongqing and Singapore in February 2017 is now jointly constructed by Singapore and China's Chongqing, Guangxi, Guizhou, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Ningxia, and Shaanxi.

Zhao Yongjun, a reporter from the Yuhang District media convergence center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, described the relationship between Chongqing and Hangzhou with an ancient poem, "I live upstream and you downstream." He said that Zhejiang and Chongqing belong to the Yangtze River Economic Belt. As a media practitioner, he has deeply felt that in his interviews in recent years. The two cities have explored a new path of ecological priority and green development. He also expects that in the future, the two places will continue to work together to protect the river and bring new vitality to the Yangtze River.

Cai Xunxiang, a reporter from Henan Daily, is most concerned about the Zhengzhou-Chongqing high-speed railway that opened across the board this year, which has dramatically shortened the distance between the two places. "It's only a few hours from Zhengzhou to Chongqing. Henan is a large grain province, and Chongqing has a wealth of food. There should be more space for cooperation between the two places in the field of food," Cai added.

Anton, a journalist from Belarus State Television and Radio Company, said that this year marks the fifth anniversary of establishing friendly relations between Chongqing and the Minsk Prefecture of Belarus. The China-Europe Railway Express(Chengdu-Chongqing) has achieved stable operation, becoming a local cooperation model between China and Belarus. In the future, it is hoped that Belarus and Chongqing will jointly build more local interactive demonstration projects, promote the win-win industry of the two places, connect people's hearts and enhance friendship.
