Chongqing - He Linjun, a student from the Symphony Band of the Chongqing Nankai Middle School, played the heartfelt, inspirational music Empty World with the oboe in his edited video, whose clips are collected online. In the video, the thin and soft sound of the oboe flows slowly like a spring. The short videos show medical staff rushing to the front line, volunteers sleeping on the ground, and teachers delivering meals to the students, showing the tenacity of Chongqing people in this new round of the Covid outbreak.
"Chongqing, come on!" said some netizens, and "this is what talent looks like," others cheered. After the video was released, it received unanimous praise from netizens.
"As a middle school student, there are very few things I can do. I made this video in the hope of using music to give everyone the power to overcome the epidemic," said 16-year-old He Linjun.
"Compared with other volunteers, I just did a trivial thing. If everyone can face it positively, I will be pleased," he added.

He came up with the idea because he was moved by the volunteers wearing white protective suits.
"The school asked students to stay at home. And one day at noon, I went downstairs to get the nucleic acid test. The line was very long, and there were many people. I heard a volunteer in a protective suit holding a loudspeaker, "Students can go ahead and do it first." His mask was covered with fog, and I could feel his fatigue from a long distance, and that scene shocked me a lot," He Linjun said.
He did not enjoy the "student priority" but went to the end of the line to line up.
"At that moment, I thought, many people may have urgent matters. Although I am a student, there is no urgent matter. Why not let them do it first?" He said.
"There are so many people in this world. If everyone can be considerate of others, what can we not overcome?" So, He Linjun decided to play this song overnight, edit the video and spread the spirits in his way.

As early as 2020, He Linjun organized classmates to perform online and edited it into a video to cheer for Wuhan city.
"He has always been a boy with 'positive force,'" He Linjun's father said that his son often helps the elderly in the community to carry things and parents with housework.
Regarding his experience in educating children, He Changhai said it is important to teach by personal example and verbal instruction. His parents also actively participated in volunteer work in the community. Their example inspired him.
As the initiator of this activity, Sun Dongdong, the teacher of the Chongqing Nankai Middle School Symphony Band, said that the original intention is not only to urge the band to practice their instruments at home but also to guide the children to help others with the power of art in their ways.
"He Linjun's work is one of them, and there are many children in the group whose works are also outstanding," said Sun Dongdong.
