Chongqing - Chongqing ranked first in China's top 20 cities for domestic tourist satisfaction during 2012-2022 in the "Extraordinary Ten Years, Charming Twenty Cities," launched by the China Tourism Academy during the 2022 China City Tourism Development Forum.
The cities of Hangzhou, Qingdao, Suzhou, Xiamen, Beijing, Wuxi, Chengdu, Nanjing, Huangshan, Shanghai, Jinan, Xi'an, Ningbo, Yantai, Shenyang, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Luoyang, Zhengzhou also are on the list.
Liu Qi, director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, attended the 2022 China City Tourism Development Forum and made the speech via a video link on Nov 24. He introduced Chongqing's excellent practices for improving tourist satisfaction.
"Since 2010, we have set a goal to build Chongqing as a city with high tourist satisfaction," and launched a series of effective methods around this goal," Liu said.
In Chongqing, the tourist satisfaction of each district and county has been included in the tourism assessment since 2010. Professional organizations are invited to conduct surveys and evaluations of the tourist satisfaction of all districts and counties and announce the results and rankings to the city.

The tourist attractions above the 3A level in the city can automatedly update the real-time passenger flow data and monitor videos on the online platform. Those sharing information significantly improved the efficiency of the city's tourism management and emergency response capabilities.
