Chongqing- Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker Avatr Technology finished its headquarters construction in Chongqing municipality recently, further completing its strategic layout.

Avatr headquarters is located in Chongqing Liangjiang Digital Economy Industrial Park, which integrates with research, work, and commercial facilities. 

The new Avatr building adopts the same style as the Avatr sales store, providing a wide exhibition space for the products. Other floors are the working areas with a capacity of 543 positions. There are also 30 sharing working positions to meet the cross-area and cross-business working demands.

CHN cooperation mode to build an international Avatr

Avatr Technology is invested by Changan Automobile, committed to building an international high-end smart electric vehicles (SEV).

Supported by Chinese giants Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL in vehicle research and development, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent vehicle solutions, and intelligent energy ecology, Avatr is making the most of an intelligent electric vehicle platform CHN, the first letter of three companies’ names. 

The platform features a new architecture, strong computing power, and high-voltage charging capability. “We will make full use of the Chinese power to build an international Avatr,” said Zhu Huarong, board chairman of Changan Automobile.

“The determination and confidence in exploring intelligent electric vehicles not only rely on the support and trust from all fields but also are enabled by the three giants,” said Tan Benhong, board chairman and CEO of Avatr Technology.

On December 20, 2022, the batch of the company’s first model, Avatr11, came off the assembly line in Chongqing. Its second model of middle and large-size sedans will be launched to the market in the second half of 2023.

The speedy development of Avatr Technology is the miniature of Changan Automobile expanding its layout in the new energy vehicle field.

According to the plan, the sales of Changan brands will reach three million vehicles by 2025, and the intelligent connected new energy vehicle will account for 35%. By 2030, Changan will build itself into a world brand with sales of 4.5 million vehicles, and the intelligent connected new energy vehicle will account for 60%.
