By YUTING CHEN|Jan 12,2023

Chongqing - In 2022, Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality had added more than 3,500 software and information service enterprises, and the revenue of the software and information service industry is expected to reach 275 billion yuan (about 40,59 billion USD ), a year-on-year increase of approximately 10.5%.

Such achievements are due to Chongqing's introduction of the "Full of Stars" action plan, targeting to promote the development of the software and information service industry, according to a municipal press conference recently.

Tens of thousands of new software enterprises by 2025

The "Full of Stars" action plan aims to expand Chongqing's software and information service industry, including industrial, game, and basic software. The Chongqing Municipal People's Government has issued various policies to fully support software and information service enterprises to be based in Chongqing.

From the perspective of scenario application, Chongqing has a complete range of industrial categories, especially the software and information service industry, to promote its transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development.

Implementing the "Full of Stars" action plan is expected to see by 2025, Chongqing will add tens of thousands of new software enterprises and 200,000 new employees, and the full scale of software business will reach 500 billion yuan(about USD 73.74 billion).

Local enterprises to open up the international market

Cloud Child Technology is an example of Chongqing's attraction of software and information service enterprises to settle down.

As an enterprise focusing on automotive-grade chip design, it sees Chongqing industrial opportunities and moved its headquarters and production base from a coastal city to Chongqing Liangjiang New Area in June 2022.

"Chongqing is an important automobile industry base in China, with many car companies such as Changan and Seres clustered, which has natural industrial advantages, and we hope to deepen cooperation with these enterprises," said Liao Guangchao, founder and CEO of Cloud Child Technology.

Cloud Child Technology has just released a new product, the world's first six-in-one PIM MOSFET module for automobiles.

PIM MOSFET is the core component of a direct current to the alternating current drive motor and water pump of the low-voltage system of an electric vehicle, which is the size of an adult's fingernail, with a length and width of only 14mm*12mm, which is only one-third of traditional modules.

Next, the company will continue to increase scientific research efforts, accelerate scientific and technological innovation, establish itself in Chongqing, radiate the national market according to the application scenarios of automobile machine factories, and strive to open up the international market.

"At present, we have invested more than 300 million yuan (about USD 44.24 million)  in Chongqing, and the investment will not be less than two billion yuan (about USD 294.94 million) in the future," said Liao.

Recently, Chongqing Jiangbei District held the signing ceremony of the 2023 key investment promotion project and the "Full of Stars" action plan.

In this event, the "Full of Stars" action plan signs 19 projects with an investment of five billion yuan (about USD 737.35 million), which involves H3C Technologies Co., Ltd China.

Yang Shuang, vice president of H3C Technologies Co., Ltd China, said the company would invest one billion yuan (about USD 147.47 million) in the H3C Ecological Capability Center project.

This project will give full play to its ecological advantages, drive the upstream and downstream industrial chain, and establish an ecological capability center in the Jiangbei District.
