"This is a unique opportunity to listen, learn, and enhance my artistic creativity. I intend to represent the cultural sector in the two sessions," said Liu Guang.

At the Sixth CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee's Second Plenary Session, Chongqing proposed building "a city strong in culture" from five aspects. It emphasized promoting rapid development and all-around flourishing of the cultural industry and ensuring both social and economic benefits. The city will build a cultural brand with Chongqing characteristics and improve the quality of literary and artistic works.

Liu Guang's proposal this time focuses on improving the quality of Chongqing's cultural and creative works. In order to increase the creative level of literary works and launch high-quality works that correspond with the genuine demands of the people, he suggested improving academic counseling and paying particular attention to script creation.

"We need to be more methodical and thorough, from the artist to the production cycle, professionalism, and the entire process," Liu Guang said. "For example, we can create a system for selecting topics by combining the major events of the country in order to assist with topic selection."

Culture and tourism are prominently mentioned in Liu Guang's proposal.

"For example, we can integrate cultural works with tourism to create some wonderful works of art that adhere to Chongqing's tourist features based on the various tourism characteristics of each site." According to Liu Guang, such works have a higher level, as well as local features and selling points.

The works "Impression Wulong" and "Return to the Three Gorges," which were launched by famous director Zhang Yimou's team in collaboration with Chongqing Wulong district and Fengjie county, as well as "Chongqing · 1949," which has been popular since its debut, are all highly successful examples.

Wushan's large-scale Yangtze River cultural situation night tour, "The Light of the Three Gorges," shows ancient Wushan, the poetic and gorgeous Yangtze River, and the romantic Three Gorges with local characteristics.

"These works capture tourists' attention and can also naturally present our rich and diversified Bayu culture to the audience," said Liu Guang.
