Chongqing Spotlights Talent Attraction and Industrialization of ICVs and NEVs丨CPPCC Members

Chongqing - Chu Wenbo has submitted a proposal on talent attraction and industrialization practice of intelligent connected new energy vehicles at the Chongqing Two Sessions this year, as a member of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC Chongqing), and General Manager of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) Innovation Center in the Western (Chongqing) Science City.

Diversified talent development

Chu said, attracting more leading talents to join the industry of Chongqing intelligent connected new energy vehicles, and building industrial clusters is inseparable from the support of industrialization.

Chu and the other three CPPCC Chongqing members, including Xu Linhao, Vice President of BDStar Navigation Group; Zhou Jianwen, Director of Automotive Engineering Technology Center of China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd.; Xu Lin, Chief Technology Officer of Seres Group Co., Ltd., jointly proposed that it is necessary to introduce more talents to lead innovative teams based on scientists and important platforms and build a  support system for diversified talent development.

Encouraging enterprises, universities, and research institutions in Chongqing to cultivate talents in ICV operating systems, software, algorithms, etc., guiding colleges and universities to set cross-border interdisciplinary courses, and cultivating professional and skilled talents for industrial applications, this is to accommodate needs of the ICV industry in Chongqing.

At the same time, consideration should be given to creating "one-stop" services such as start-up incubation, talent training, marketing promotion, and building a new ecology for the development of the ICV industry that is deeply connected by "government, industry, academia, research, and finance".

Key technology transformation, industrialization, and demutualization

Chu and the other three CPPCC Chongqing members also proposed to accelerate the transformation, industrialization, and demutualization of key technologies, and incubate and gather a number of high-grade, precision, and advanced enterprises.

It is also the key to supporting the development of potential science and technology enterprises, in order to push for the rapid agglomeration of industrialization and form scale effects.

At the same time, encouraging the research & development and implementation of core key technologies of ICVs, building a key laboratory for ICVs to empower the industry, and aiming for a strong development of ICVs.

For example, exploring the construction of large-scale and commercialization, enhancing the coordinated development of research & development, technology, products, capital, etc., allowing tech enterprises to further gather resources through financing, mergers, and acquisitions, IPOs, etc.

This is to promote the deep integration of the intelligent connected vehicle industry chain, innovation chain, and financial chain.
