The Software and IT Sector Development Support Policy in Nan'an District and Chongqing Economic Zone were officially launched, with 15 specific measures included, at the 2023 Starry Sky Initiative conference recently at the Nan'an District administration center. 

Outstanding companies and employees were recognized at the conference for their contributions to the software and IT sector, and eight key cooperation agreements were signed, totaling RMB 3.52 billion.

Why is Chongqing Software Park so appealing to many companies and talents? Entrepreneurs attribute this to the firm foundation of the Nan'an District and Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone, which provides policy-backed services such as talent introduction and financial support. 

For example, to support the introduction of high-end talent in the software industry, eligible individuals can receive up to 1.5 million yuan in housing subsidies, and companies can receive up to 50 million yuan in investment in venture funds. 

Additionally, national and municipal key laboratories, new high-end R&D institutions, public service platforms, and key software enterprises can receive key support through awards and incentives, including up to 1 million yuan in incentives for eligible enterprises and institutions. 

These efforts have increased the confidence of companies to settle down and grow.

 

 

Chongqing Software Park, supported by both the Nan'an District and Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone, has strengthened the impact of its professional industrial estate on multiple districts. 

Since its establishment in 2019, it has focused on developing the software and IT sector and creating a favorable ecosystem. Clusters of related industries have been established, such as automotive software, digital cultural innovation, and WITMED (wise information technology in medicine).

Statistics show that the software and IT sector in Chongqing Software Park have maintained steady growth. In 2022, the region had 421 new companies (1,962 total) and 5,602 new employees (29,800 total). Software business revenue was RMB 27.8 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 10.3%. 

After the Spring Festival in 2023, these companies have already ramped up their development, setting the tone for the growth of the software and IT sector.

Apart from the Starry Sky Initiative demonstration area, Nan'an district will build more industrial carriers, encouraging business and industrial chain investment. 

With these opportunities, Chongqing Software Park is confident of improving its economic performance in 2023 with a stronger foundation and more growth opportunities.
